Expressions and Personalities
The character itself went through rounds of testing for aesthetics, durability, and safety, especially with kids in mind. But the app presented a completely different set of challenges.
The hardest part was restraint. We wanted it to feel incredibly simple on the surface, while building a foundation that allows for expandable, evolving features over time.
Right now, the expressions are intentionally minimal. The mouth responds to sound in real time, reacting to voices and ambient noise. It can mimic songs as they play which, in our opinion, makes it one of the most realistic “mouth-off” experiences on the market. It also includes a playful alarm clock mode.

Prototypes and Sketches
Boogli may look simple, but it took countless concepts, iterations, and prototypes to get here. Every curve and detail was refined to make it cute, functional, patentable, and ready for production.
